About Us
Andrew Hoffert and Jennifer McDonnell
We’re the new owners of Kahu Care! We are also married, have a son, are Pharmacists and we own Nelson Clinic Pharmacy in Nelson, B.C.
We were introduced to the use of topical niacinamide by the founders of Kahu Care in 2018. Chris attended a Melanoma Skin Cancer Conference in Brisbane, Australia where he learned about the use of oral and topical niacinamide in treating sun-damaged skin. When Chris arrived home, he experimented with Andrew who compounded a variety of topical niacinamide lotions in varying strengths and bases. Chris’ wife Joanna then fine tuned the results into this amazing lotion!

lasting hydration to your skin
Our Kahu Care lotions contain niacinamide used to provide lasting hydration to your skin, reduce the signs of aging particularly smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, maintaining a healthy lipid barrier, decreasing both sebum production and inflammation as well as pigmentation.
The Sensitive lotion contains 5% niacinamide and is used for acne, rosacea and those with sensitive skin.
The Forte lotion contains 10% niacinamide to help target photoaging and for with normal to dry skin types.
